Construction People is a recruitment consultancy specialising and operating in the built environment. Our goal is to connect people with opportunities they will succeed in. Our success lies in the fact that we’ve set our sights on recruiting exclusively for construction, property development and project management – building a strong knowledge base and network within it. We take our role in this process seriously, and our service to you will always be led by three core values: taking responsibility, having integrity, and showing respect.

Our story

In 2008, we opened our doors to the Brisbane construction industry from the humble beginnings of operating from the home of our founder and Company Director, Ian Richardson who holds over 21 years experience in the industry.

Ian quickly secured massive wins, such as securing the contract to resource for the $1.2 billion dollar Queensland Children’s Hospital for Abigroup (now called the Lady Cilento Hospital) and the $320 million dollar Cairns Based Hospital.

It wasn’t too long before the other Richardson came on board. Todd Richardson joined his brother Ian to expand our services even further and assist with our clients’ recruitment needs for regional Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Together, they secured the recruitment contract in Queensland with Westfield Design and Construct, and Mirvac. Then they set their sights on the sunny Gold Coast and the Northern NSW region.

With more growth, they planted our roots down the East Coast and expanded our services into Sydney and Parramatta, along with developing a state-of-the-art online contractor/temp staff timesheet and payroll system.

Our story continues to go from strength to strength dedicated to advising, connecting, and creating mutually beneficial relationships for the people we work with.
